Dal Baati Churma

🥘 Ingredients

  • 2 cups (coarse)Wheat Flour (Atta)
  • 1/2 cupSemolina (Sooji)
  • 1 cup (Toor, Moong, Chana, Urad, Masoor)Mixed Lentils (Panchmel Dal)
  • 1 cup meltedGhee
  • Red Chili, Turmeric, Coriander, CuminSpices
  • 1/2 cupPowdered Sugar
  • 1 tspCardamom Powder

👨‍🍳 Instructions

Baati: Mix flour, sooji, ghee, and salt. Knead stiff dough with warm water.

Shape into round balls. Bake in a preheated oven/tandoor at 180°C for 30-40 mins until golden and cracked.

Dip hot baatis in melted ghee.

Dal: Pressure cook mixed lentils with salt and turmeric.

Temper with ghee, cumin, cloves, red chilies, and spices. Simmer for 10 mins.

Churma: Crush 2-3 baked baatis into fine crumbs.

Mix with powdered sugar, cardamom, and plenty of ghee.

Serve the trio together.
