Besan Masala Roti: The Wholesome Bread

🥘 Ingredients

  • 1 cupBesan (Gram Flour)
  • 1/2 cupWheat Flour
  • 1, finely choppedOnion
  • 2, finely choppedGreen Chilies
  • 1/2 tspAjwain (Carom seeds)

Step 1 (Dough): In a large bowl, mix besan, wheat flour, chopped onions, chilies, ajwain, and salt.

Step 2 (Kneading): Add water gradually and knead into a soft, slightly sticky dough. Let it rest for 10 minutes.

Step 3 (Rolling): Take a ball of dough and roll it into a round roti. Use wheat flour for dusting as the dough can be sticky.

Step 4 (Cooking): Place on a hot tawa. Apply ghee and cook both sides until golden brown and crispy.

Step 5 (Serving): Serve hot with white butter (loni ghee) and a bowl of curd.
